The Canadian Medical Care, a health facility in Prague, hosted doctors from Finland and Sweden on Friday August 28. Dr. Barbara Tausova along with Mgr. Katarina Dujcikova welcomed the international visitors at head office in Veleslavin.
The clinic was visited by a Finnish ENT specialist focusing on the head and neck area, Dr. Cengiz Ünery, who works at Terveystalo hospital group located in Oulu. A big contribution of Dr. Ünery’s visit was a comparison between the Czech and Finnish medical systems, as well contrasting running of the Finnish clinic with the Czech. It took the Terveystalo hospital group only ten years to become the leading health care provider in Finland. The conglomerate covers all of Finland and plays a very prominent role in the development of Finnish health care services. The medical staff numbers at 6 500 employees; every year they see around 4 million patients.
Veleslavin clinic was also visited by a family of doctors from Sweden, namely a mother with her two sons. Dr. Axel Tomson, an anaesthesiology specialist, his brother Artur Tomson, specialising in radiology, along with their mother Dr. Ylva Tomson, PhD, a general practitioner. They are planning to open their own private clinic in Stockholm and Dr. Tausova’s experiences with setting up Canadian Medical Care back in 1998 were of particular interest to them.
The Canadian Medical care greatly values both of these visits, which were undoubtedly a contribution to the Czech hosts as well as the international visitors. We support all cooperation with clinics abroad, internships of our employees abroad and their continuing education. All this contributes to a broadening of horizons, enabling our clinic to maintain its international top class standards.
